Read MoreCzech Basketball Federation (CBF) started using XPS Network three years ago and every year they have taken a step forward. We met with Petr Treml, Technical Director of the Women’s side and he explained to us how they use XPS to gather all their knowledge and data in one place.

The Challenge:
Since the players are playing in different teams and groups, it was hard for the CBF to get information about how much training load the players were subjected to and how the clubs and academies are working with their players. The first thing they looked for was how they could get an overview of how much the players were involved in practices, individual workouts and matches. They needed to gather this information and more in one place with easy access for everyone involved.
The CBF were also looking for a platform where you could gather coaching resources and drills for all the basketball coaches around the country.
How did Sideline XPS help?
The first year, every academy got access to XPS for their coaches through the CBF’s main account. With the XPS the coaches got access to all of their teams and players and it became easy to gather all the information about training and matches that they needed. At the same time, the academies and clubs got access through XPS to drills created by CBF to use in their training sessions, combined with the drills and coaching content they were adding themselves.
CBF gained valuable information how the academies and clubs where working with the players. How often and how much were they training? How often do they play competitive matches? How does the season planning look like?
[blockquote text=’We needed a better overview about practices and matches. The players are in many groups and it was difficult for us to find out where they played or trained. ‘ text_color=” title_tag=” width=’100′ line_height=’undefined’ background_color=” border_color=” show_quote_icon=’yes’ quote_icon_color=” quote_icon_size=’80’]
CBF has step by step evolved in their work with XPS. Today every player have their own XPS profile where all the standard information is found, like height, weight and contact information, all in one place. Other information like status of their development and notes from national team coaches and club coaches are also added to their profile to get a better oversight on every player, regardless of what club they play for.
In the second year the CBF started a project where all the National Team Coaches got access to the XPS Video Analyzer. With the Analyzer the coaches can work with scouting and analyzing with the National Teams and all the information is gathered in XPS Network.
[blockquote text=’XPS Network gives you a comprehensive overview of the players and the coaching tools are very powerful.’ text_color=” title_tag=” width=’100′ line_height=’undefined’ background_color=” border_color=” show_quote_icon=’yes’ quote_icon_color=” quote_icon_size=’80’]
Before the season 17/18, the CBF takes one more step forward with XPS Network. Now the players will get their own access to the XPS through a mobile app and there they are able to access match films, highlights and individual video clips that are shared from the coaches and is accessible in the app or on the website. Through the XPS app the players can also fill out questionnaires and forms shared by the coaches regarding the reporting of training load, wellness and more.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” text_align=”left”][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
