When Füchse Berlin lifted the German championship trophy in June earlier this year, it marked the high point of a journey built on consistency, trust, and smart preparation. Since 2018, XPS Network has quietly supported that journey – a silent force behind the scenes, integrated into daily routines across both the men’s and youth departments. From training plans to opponent analysis and player monitoring, XPS has become a natural part of how Füchse Berlin prepare, improve, and compete.

For Head Coach Jaron Siewert, the system has been with him long before the title win. “XPS Network has been a fundamental part of my everyday work in handball for eight years now,” he says. Starting with TUSEM Essen, where he led the team to promotion in 2020, and now with Füchse, the platform has remained his daily go-to. “It has made the professional preparation and follow-up of matches and training sessions significantly easier,” he explains. “And it’s taken our communication around individual player development to a whole new level.”

Tools That Adapt to Every Coaching Style

Siewert emphasizes that coaches must find their own way of using the many tools XPS provides, but that the system itself leaves nothing to be desired. That flexibility is something his assistant coach, Max Rinderle, values just as much.

“XPS has become such a trusted companion in my daily work that opening my laptop already feels like opening XPS,” Rinderle says. From coordinating schedules to sharing individualized video clips with players, the software allows him to tailor his work to the team’s needs. “The video editing tools are user-friendly and make it much easier to prepare for opponents and analyze our own performance — even with the heavy game load we face.”

More Than a Platform – A Relationship Built on Trust

For Marc Uhlmann, Sideline Sports Germany, the partnership with Füchse Berlin goes beyond software. “In the 1984/85 season, I watched my first handball match with my father – a European Cup game with Reinickendorfer Füchse in Berlin’s Deutschlandhalle,” he recalls. “Without being biased, it means a lot when the team from my hometown becomes German champion.”

Uhlmann has maintained a close working relationship with Füchse Berlin ever since, especially with General Manager Volker Zerbe, as well as coaches Siewert and Rinderle. “It has always been an honest collaboration on equal footing,” he says.
