The 2025 IHF Women’s Handball World Championship brought together 32 national teams for several weeks of high-level competition, highlighting the continued growth and global reach of the women’s game. Norway claimed the gold medal after a strong and consistent tournament, securing another world title and confirming their position as one of the leading teams in international women’s handball. Their performance across the knockout stages reflected both experience and depth within the squad.

Germany finished the championship with a silver medal, marking their best result at a Women’s World Championship in more than three decades. Their run to the final was one of the standout stories of the tournament and demonstrated clear progress within the program.

The bronze medal was claimed by France, who edged out the Netherlands in a closely contested third-place match, rounding out a strong podium at the end of the competition.
